Bound Odyssey by Michelle Polaris Review

Bound Odyssey - by Michelle Polaris
Synopsis from Ellora's Cave.com

The year is 2067 and Earth is self-destructing from environmental cataclysms. A portal to a new world is ripped open and refuge there is Earth’s only hope. Enter Jace, cowboy diplomat, who is preparing for the negotiation of a lifetime. A sexually conflicted alpha male, he hates everything with a cock, especially himself. The last thing Jace expects is to fall in love with both a woman and a man.

His dark history presents the ultimate challenge to Mira and Roman, the sexual Dominant team hired to prepare Jace for the female-dominant culture of the new world. Tragedy has made Mira distrust her Mistress abilities. Survival is her priority, and she resists her deep attraction to Jace’s haunted eyes and sculpted body.

Roman, however, falls hard and fast for Mira and Jace, ready to honor Mira as his Mistress and force Jace to recognize him as Master. Bound in one another’s chains and pushed to the limits of arousal and pain, they must outrun sabotage and conspiracy to find salvation for their bodies, souls and hearts.

4.5/5 Wicked Whips

Yum, yum, yum, I could hardly leave the book to eat Thanksgiving dinner!  Well written - Check.   Fully developed and sexy characters - Triple Check (there are three of them after all.)   Hot M/M, M/F/M, M/M/F Scenes - Check again.   Do I want to read the next book?  Hell yes!  Hand it over woman!

Depressing - border line post-apocalyptic future forms a backdrop for the human races survival being dependent on BDSM culture.  Sounds a bit hard to swallow when written out, but awesome!  The politics were believable, the characters and situation complex, and the world enthralling.  Plus for all the naughty there is a great story that is not rushed to get to the next naughty.
For me the real romance and relationship in the book is between the two male characters- which is cool with me.  Jace opening up about his bi-sexuality adds to the conflict.  Conflict that is deliciously layered.  If Michelle Polaris writes it I want to read it, because I know that it will be a multi-level, complex story which I have rarely seen in Erotic Romance lately.
Was the book perfect?  No.  It got a 4.5 after all.  The end felt a bit rushed and as always with a story I enjoy, I wanted more.  Plus Michelle Polaris is a total tease, the ending made me want to pull my hair out or hers!  Yes the characters have a HEA (Happily Ever After), but the world is left hanging as the series is just starting and, WAAAAAHHHH!  I have to wait for the next book!  Evil woman...
Buy it.  Read it.  I have passed  on about 6 other books lately.  This one I kept for myself.
